10 Things I Wish I Knew Before My First QHHT Session (What to Expect & How to Prepare)

Before my first QHHT session, I didn’t really know what to expect.
I had questions…some excitement…and honestly, a bit of nervousness too.
Looking back now, after experiencing multiple sessions (and facilitating many as a practitioner), there are a few things I really wish I had known beforehand.
If you’re considering a session, this will help you feel more prepared, relaxed, and open to the experience.
1. Don’t Stack Deep Sessions Back-to-Back
After one of my early QHHT sessions, I scheduled another deep experience the very next day…
And even added a tarot reading that same night.
The next morning?
👉 I felt completely drained.
This work goes deep — mentally, emotionally, and energetically.
Give yourself time to:
integrate
rest
process
👉 Ideally, allow a few days between deep sessions.
2. The Practitioner You Choose Matters
Not all sessions are the same.

Every practitioner has:
a different presence
a different pace
a different way of holding space
The level (Level 1, 2, 3) doesn’t always reflect the experience you’ll have.
👉 What matters is how you feel during the session.
Go with someone you:
feel comfortable with
resonate with
trust
3. It’s Normal to Feel Nervous or Skeptical
Before my first session, I felt:
curious
unsure
a little nervous
And even now, after multiple sessions…
👉 there’s still a sense of “I don’t know what will come up”

That’s part of the experience.
You don’t need to:
believe anything
force anything
or “do it right”
Just come in open.
4. Wear Comfortable Clothing
This may sound simple, but it makes a big difference.

You’ll be lying down and relaxing for an extended period.
👉 Wear loose, comfortable clothing so your body can fully settle.
5. Let Your Practitioner Know to Take Their Time
One of the biggest differences in sessions is pace.
If things feel rushed, it can be harder to relax.
👉 It’s completely okay to say:
“Please take your time during the hypnosis.”
When things slow down:
your mind settles
your body relaxes
the experience deepens naturally
6. Prepare Your Questions (The Right Way)
Before your session, you’ll be asked to prepare questions.
Here’s what I wish I knew:
👉 Write them down on paper
👉 Put your most important questions first
👉 Keep them simple and clear
Why?
Because:
you may not get through all of them
your practitioner needs to read them easily
searching through a phone can break the flow
7. Start Earlier in the Day
QHHT sessions can vary in length.
As Dolores Cannon often said:
👉 “It takes as long as it takes.”
Starting earlier helps:
avoid rushing
keep your energy stable
finish at a comfortable time
8. Go In With No Expectations
Many people wonder:
“Will I see a past life?”“Will I get answers to everything?”
The truth is:
👉 You’ll experience what you’re meant to experience.
Sometimes it’s:
visual
sometimes more feeling-based
sometimes subtle but powerful
Let go of expectations…
👉 and trust the process.
9. Listen to Your Recording More Than Once
Your session doesn’t end when you leave.
In fact…
👉 a lot of the integration happens afterward
Listening to your recording again can:
bring new awareness
deepen understanding
help things “click” later
10. You Can Always Do Another Session
If your session doesn’t go exactly how you expected…
That’s okay.
Not every session is about:
seeing everything
answering every question
or having a dramatic experience
Each session gives you:
👉 what you’re ready for at that time
And if you feel called…
👉 you can always come back
Final Thoughts
If there’s one thing I would say:
👉 Trust the process.

You don’t need to:
control it
understand it fully
or predict what will happen
Your Higher Self knows what’s most beneficial for you right now.
And the session unfolds from there.
